Diploma in Business Management – Level 4 in Myanmar

The one-year Diploma in Business Management (DBM) course at STI Myanmar University forms the first year of a three-year program leading to a BA(Hons) Business Administration degree, awarded by the University of Bedfordshire, UK. The one-year DBM course at STI Myanmar University integrates academic and practice-based learning with employability skills. The qualification is intended to equip students with the knowledge and skills relevant to employment, as identified by local employers to meet the needs of the local and regional employment market. It also encourages students to develop an entrepreneurial outlook.

In this first year of Higher Education study, students will gain a basic understanding of different types of business organisations, and the business environments in which different organisations operate. You will be introduced to the knowledge and skills required for managing finance and marketing, and examining individual and group behaviour in organisations. The course prepares students with the required skills for managers with modern business administration skills, introduction to business economics, business information systems, operations, statistics for business, and financial accounting with creative ideas. A study of business management helps students to become excellent administrators and management thinkers who will be well prepared to be a leading personality in today’s global business environment.

On successful completion of the Diploma, you will have the option to study for a further year to complete a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Business Management, which in turn may lead onto the third and final year of study for the BA (Hons) Business Administration degree. You would also be well placed to enter the business workplace in a role relevant to a Level 4 Diploma holder.
